Since 2014; with the exception of 2015, the Trinidad and Tobago Performing Arts Network has been memorializing both the celebrated and unsung heroes of T&T’s culture and performing arts community, who passed away in the respective years.
Last year’s tribute honored the contributions of 21 persons to our performing arts landscape, which included: Dr. Jit Samaroo, Claudia Applewhaite, Joey Lewis, Asami Nagakiya, Freddie Kissoon, Henry “Hal” Greaves, Beulah Shirley King and Todd Hill to name a few.
As 2017 is coming to a close, we wish to once again honor the departed and memorialize the contributions, that they have made to our growing industry. We’d like to be as thorough as we can.
Who are the persons you would like to see included in our 2017 tribute?
To qualify inclusion, the persons you submit:
- Must have been a Trinidad and Tobago national or have been a non national studying or working in the T&T performing arts industry for at least four years.
- May have been either a student of; an amateur in; or professional, in the fields of theatre, music, dance, film, television, culture or any subcategory therein.
- Must have passed away between January 1st 2017 to December 31st 2017.
