Since 2014; with the exception of 2015, and 2018 the Trinidad and Tobago Performing Arts Network has been memorializing both the celebrated and unsung heroes of T&T’s culture and performing arts community, who passed away in the respective years.
Our last tribute honored the contributions of 25 persons to our performing arts landscape, which included: Joyce Wong Sang, Claudette Blackman, Brett Bengochea and Sir. Derek Walcott to name a few.
As 2019 is coming to a close, we wish to once again honor the departed and memorialize the contributions, that they have made to our growing industry. We also want to include persons from the arts community who passed away in 2018, and would like to be as thorough as we can.
Who are the persons you would like to see included in our 2018/2019 tribute?
To qualify inclusion, the persons you submit:
- Must have been a Trinidad and Tobago national or have been a non national studying or working in the T&T performing arts industry for at least four years.
- May have been either a student of; an amateur in; or professional, in the fields of theatre, music, dance, film, television, culture or any subcategory therein.
- Must have passed away between January 1st 2018 to December 31st 2019.
