Untitled Screenplay Explores Theatre Forms in T&T

The National Drama Association of Trinidad and Tobago’s (NDATT) Playwrights Workshop Trinbago (PWT) Monthly Readers Theatre Series (MRTS), held the first Wednesday of every month, will feature the reading of a screenplay for an untitled series for the March instalment. The series will continue online in light of the precautionary measures implemented as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The reading will take place via Zoom meeting only on March 3 at 7 PM (AST GMT-4).

This untitled series explores the history of various forms of theatre in T&T. The concept and playwriting are by members of the playwrights circle, Safaa, Shelby Outar, Judith Theodore and Joel Phillip. Following the reading of the script, the subsequent discussion will also include approaches to writing screen plays which encompass interview, demonstration and storytelling.

The series for which the screenplay is being written is an NDATT project in partnership with the Trinidad and Tobago Performing Arts Network and Black Collar Creative.

Playwrights Workshop Trinbago (PWT) is inviting actors, playwrights, directors, producers and the general public to join us on Zoom to listen to the reading and participate in the discussion to assist the playwrights in further development of the script. The event will be held on Wednesday March 3, 2021 at 7 PM (AST GMT-4).
