Teal Creative Limited is thrilled to announce the launch of the “Evette Graham Micro-Grant” opportunity aimed at empowering the vibrant community of creative entrepreneurs across the entertainment industry in the Caribbean. This $500 USD grant is designed to give a top-up or jumpstart for innovative projects, enhancing artistic skills, professional development and showcasing exceptional talent within the entertainment industry. It is launched as a tribute in remembrance of Evette Graham.
Jessel Murray, Senior Lecturer and former Head of the Department of Creative and Festival Arts, UWI says “This is a fitting tribute to Evette Graham, graduate of the Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA), The UWI, St. Augustine – lifelong educator, mentor to hundreds of grateful students, mentor and friend to colleagues, musician. Aside from her work at Tranquillity Secondary School and then at the Ministry of Education, she was a member and longstanding President of the UWI Arts Chorale and its production arm, Must Come See Productions. It is hoped that colleagues will support the creation and sustenance of Teal Creative to aid creatives in their education and professional endeavours”.

To start, Teal Creative aims to disburse one award every four months to deserving creatives.
