“Theatre reminds people, young and old, how to access their sense of wonder and say ‘What If’…” ~ Jude Sandy
ABOUT JUDE: Jude Sandy is a classically trained actor and movement artist, born in Trinidad & Tobago and based in New York City. Raised in the bustle of a tropical melting-pot nation, Jude grew up singing Calypso, folk and choral music, participating in diverse cultural and religious festivals, and masquerading in Trinidad’s epic annual Carnival. As a child, he was encouraged to read voraciously, to write, draw and paint, and to revel in the dazzling variety of our collective human expression. Before heading to college, Jude spent three years as a local newspaper reporter, chronicling Trinidad’s vibrant creative scene. In 2011 he made his Broadway debut as a puppeteer for the lead character in the production of War Horse and has recently appeared alongside Stacy Keach in repertory productions of Henry IV, Parts I & II at the Shakespeare Theatre Company.
