In its inaugural year, The Clinical Media Group presents the I Am Jazz Festival in collaboration with the Diabetes Association of Trinidad & Tobago to build awareness about diabetes and bring useful health tips that can help save a life!
Bring your kites for the kite-flying competition; Doors open at 12 noon, and there will be great games for everyone and a bouncy castle for the kids! From 5pm, the Jazz begins.
‘The purest form of music is the voice…’ Surrender will bless the ‘I Am Jazz’ stage with a harmonious blend of voices in perfect pitch, while Nex Chapta – the new artist on the block – will bring some good vibrations and positivity!
Adan Hagley is a young pianist and Berkley graduate who will jazz up the stage with his reharmonizations and cultural fusion.
We often hear the complimenting sounds of bass that gives music its heartbeat and soul. Seldom does it take centre-stage… Festival founder and bassist Kevon La Fleur and his band will show how impactful our local bass lines are and will also feature Dean Williams on guitar and Mikhail Salcedo on pan!
Known as a staple in the jazz community, Elan Parle – founded by Michael “Ming” Low Chew Tung – will add some smooth and contemporary jazz to the mix!
He’s no stranger to Trinidad and Tobago, this prolific saxophonist, Arturo Tappin is known for his dynamic and captivating performances that always leaves you wanting more… You will not be disappointed!
I Am Jazz Festival and Family Day will stimulate your senses with tasty treats and melodious music that is sure to get you dancing! It will be full of vibes and promises fun and edutainment for the entire family!
