The ALTAR BOYZ is a foot-stomping, rafter-raising, musical comedy, about a fictitious, now famous band on the last night of their international “Epiphany Tour 2016” world music tour. The off-Broadway musical premiered in 2005 with music and lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker and book by Kevin Del Aguila (based on an idea by Marc J. Kessler and Ken Davenport).
The cast of the Altar Boyz will be played by the following: Matthew (The Leader) will be played by Kearn Samuel, a triple threat in theatre, music and film. Mark (The Sensitive One) will be played by Kyle Richardson, a new but notable face in local musical theatre, who has been memorable in leading and supporting musical theatre roles. Luke (The Bad Boy) will be played by striking newcomer Omar Jarra, preparing for his first major role in a theatrical production.
Juan (The Latin Lover) will be played by Justin Zephyrine a powerful vocalist with a solid resume of musical theatre roles and finally, the role of Abraham (The Fish Out Of Water) will be shared by actors Andrew Friday and Nicholas Subero making their debut performances with JCS Entertainment
Directed by Raymond Choo Kong and choreographed by Abeo Jackson, Altar Boyz will feature a live six-piece band on stage as a part of the action, led by Musical Director Keon Jeffrey and Choral Director Lorraine Granderson.
While the Altar Boyz perform their songs, with synchronized dancing and high energy routines, the plot of the musical will unfold on stage presenting several scenes relating to the group, its origins and the challenges they face with each other. The musical will feature over eighteen (18) songs across multiple genres including Hip Hop, Rock, Pop Ballads, Broadway and Latin Music.
Opening weekend show dates are scheduled for April 8 -10, 2016 at the Central Bank Auditorium, with special School Shows scheduled for April 11 -14. For early bookings call (868) 477-0772 & (868) 488-2330 or click here for more information.
