NDATT to hold AGM in November

The National Drama Association of T&T (NDATT) will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 16 November 2022 at 6:00 pm, at the Helen May Johnstone Room, Queen’s Hall, 1-3 St. Ann’s Road, Port of Spain.

The AGM Agenda is as follows:

  1. Chairperson’s Opening Remarks;
  2. Receive and consider the President’s Report, Secretary’s Report and Financial Reports; and
  3. Open Floor for closing comments from members.

N.B.: Only financial members of the NDATT will be eligible to attend the AGM.

NDATT noted that the current EC had decided between 2020 to 2022 “to extend the waiver of subscription fees until September 30, 2022”. These decisions were made as NDATT understood that many current and potential members continued to face difficulty in paying the subscription due to the continued financial impact of Covid-19. This waiver applied to new applicants, as well as renewing members. Membership allows practitioners to continue to benefit from opportunities accessible to members of Arts Associations.

In its monthly statutory meeting, the Executive Committee unanimously agreed that payment of membership fees would resume as of the beginning of the 2022-2023 financial year, which would have started on October 1.

NDATT reminds the public that the Membership Register comprises Students, Individuals and Companies/Groups. The subscription fees are as follows:
Company/Group – $100 | Individual – $25 | Student – $10

Persons interested in renewing or joining the NDATT membership are asked to visit the NDATT’s website https://iamndatt.org.tt.

Incorporated under Act 33 of 1989, (The National Drama Association of Trinidad and Tobago (Incorporation) Act, 1989), NDATT is a collective of professional and amateur theatre practitioners who are committed to the development of the theatre industry in T&T.

Founded in 1980 by James Lee Wah, NDATT is the first and only statutory body that represents the interest of theatre in T&T. After a seven year hiatus, the NDATT was revitalized in July of 2017 with renewed purpose to the development of theatre in T&T.
